Cupid-Mitsuru fluttered around looking for Shinobu. He had to be around somewhere, although where was quite a question since the streets were thronged with people of all shapes and sizes.
Aha! There he was!
Lo and behold, standing by the newsstand was his friend, browsing through a magazine.
Chibi-cupid-Mitsuru smiled as he nocked the arrow and took aim.
Piece of cake.
There wasn’t anything that could go wrong already. He was there, and Shinobu was there, and there were no more alligators, falling cans and other paraphernalia that the crazed fanfic authors could throw at him.
He took a deep breath. After so many ‘traps’, it almost seemed strange that he was finally at the end of his goal.
The arrow flew straight and true, path on an inevitable collision with Shinobu.
Mitsuru smiled. Nothing could go wrong except --
-- to bounce off harmlessly, clattering onto the floor below.
Mitsuru facevaulted. What the… ????
Arrow after arrow proved to yield the same result, and frustrated, chibi-cupid-Mitsuru flew behind his friend and clutched an arrow in his cute chubby hands, fully intending to stab his roommate. He should have known that his room-mate was too cold and hard to be overcome by mere simple means.
Desperate times called for desperate measures. And this was as desperate as it could come. If he didn’t get Shinobu to kiss a girl, all was lost!
He stabbed at his friend continuously, his chubby little hand gripping the certified titanium-coated arrowheads of love with determination.
Chibi-cupid-Mitsuru facevaulted. They weren’t working. In fact, they weren’t even coming close to touching his friend.
Mitsuru rolled his eyes and stared out of the screen.
“I don’t think this is going to work.”
