No, it doesn't seem appropriate. It was just too serious. You certainly felt that way about him but did he feel the same way as well? You certainly don't want to scare him off. I'll think of something else.
"Where are we going?" You ask abruptly. "Agh, what?" says Ken looking flustered. "Oh right, where are we going?" He said once more, more to himself than to you. Scratching his head, he gestures down an avenue. "Do you want to go to the shopping district?" Ken asked, looking at you.
"Well..... I suppose we could go there and have a look around before we break for dinner."
Dinner. Wow, you did feel hungry. It probably wasn't a very good idea to skip lunch, you think about this. Over in the shopping district there were many people but as it was Valentines day....you really didn't really want to share him with anyone. The park, on the other hand offered more quiet even though it was Valentine's day but of course lacked the distinct element of food.
